From the
Dugout
Firstly, I’d like to welcome everyone from Liskeard Athletic to Ironmould Lane today, and I hope their players, staff and supporters enjoy their visit.
We come into today off the back of a strange game against Bridgwater in the week. To come away losing 4-2 was disappointing and, looking back at the game, I definitely feel we could and should have done better. There were some positive moments, but ultimately we didn’t perform to the standards we’ve set ourselves.
Today gives us a great opportunity to put that right.
We know Liskeard are a good side, and when we travelled down to their place earlier in the season, we probably produced our worst performance of the season so far. We know we’re capable of giving a much better account of ourselves than we did that day, and the boys are determined to show that today.
We’ve got a good group here and there’s plenty of belief in the dressing room. It’s about putting in a performance from the first whistle, competing for everything and showing what we’re about.
Hopefully we can put things right, get a positive result and give everyone at Ironmould Lane something to shout about.
As always, your support makes a massive difference, so get behind the boys from the first whistle.
Up the Briz!
